SFVmusic2Towns and communities across America feature “Entertainment” sections on their websites that offer a variety of calendar events for fun or public interest. But, to the thousands who reside in the greater San Fernando Valley, “Entertainment” goes far beyond a list of things-to-do. It means ways how they, their families and friends earn their living.

Creating motion pictures, programming for television and radio, designing video and computer games, writing and recording music of many genres, making amazing animations, and even producing comic books are part of what entertainment means to life in the Valley.

Republic_Studios-Studio_CityVisit this section of the website of your Museum often to discover, as we do, fascinating stories of creative work and play in the San Fernando Valley.

We’ll examine the fiestas of long ago Spanish ranchos, Christmas tuba concerts in Glendale, to exciting new bands and performers emerging as future luminaries in the Valley of the Stars.

To make it easier for you to locate things, and help out the members of the Museum Community who work on the website, check out these entertainment features:

  • Entertaining Things to do in Today’s Valley
  • The Entertainment Industry
  • Sports and Recreation

Many of the celebrities in the entertainment industry are featured in an upcoming special section of this website entitled Valley Notables.
